“Art is not what you see, but what you made others see.” – Edgar Degas

Colorful Abstract
I’ve posted my colorful abstract made for the New Year to cheer up the mood for all for this year.
I applied modeling paste and a mixture of white gesso and sand on a 18″x 12″ canvas panel to get the desired texture and once it was dried, I brushed it lightly with pink, blue and yellow acrylic paint.
Praying Hands
This is the painting I did as a birthday gift for my sister-in-law for her 85th birthday and she loved it enough to keep it on her bedside table to have a look at it every day.

Landscape Scene
Painted this on a 16″x19″ canvas. The background should have looked more hazy, but I couldn’t get that effect to it. The purple blooms in the foreground and shed in the background with the rolled up hay against it look satisfactory to my eyes.
Dog Painting
My painting of a picture I saw on a friend’s wall yesterday. With her permission , I took a snapshot of it and spent this morning painting it. Never have I done a pet painting before.

Winter Outings
Clad in heavy coats, jackets and hats people attending a country church in snow-covered winter season.
Hibiscus
This is a painting of hibiscus flowers I did as a birthday gift for my daughter five years back.

Abstract 4
My latest abstract painting done on a 24″x24″ gallery wrapped canvas. Today, it’s hanging on my bedroom wall bold and bright.
White Peony
This is a painting I did this morning of a white peony flower I found in my daughter’s backyard garden.

Monochromatic Abstract
Monochromic painting for this year. I got many likings and great comments for this painting . Some saw that with a spiritual aspect.
Woman with a Pot
The woman carrying water in the bucket as well in the pot on her head probably has long walk home daily from the river or a well. Getting clean water daily from a far distance to keep her family safe and healthy may be one of her daily tasks.
Don’t we take it too easy to take for granted the clean water we get from the turn of the tap at home without even taking a step outside our home?

Sunset Beach
This is one of my daughter’s favorite painting of mine. So, before I hand over the painting to her, I took a snapshot of it with my flip phone and posted it here for you to see.
